Terms & Conditions
Plain language, no jargon: who I am, what you're buying, what it costs, and how either of us can stop. Written to be fair and to respect your rights under South African law.
Last updated: 2026 · These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
I build and run a website + AI booking assistant for your business. You see it working before you pay the monthly fee. You own your website content, you can cancel with notice, and I never lock your data in.
1. Who you're dealing with
This service ("Receptia") is provided by Receptia, operated by Wayne Christopher de Kock (sole proprietor), an independent operator based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. You can reach me at dekockwayne12@gmail.com or 076 431 1511 (WhatsApp / phone). These details are provided as required by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
2. What you're buying
Depending on the plan you choose, the service includes some or all of:
- A professional, mobile-first website for your business.
- An AI booking assistant on that site (and on WhatsApp on the flagship plan), trained on your services, prices, area and hours.
- Lead capture of enquiries to your inbox or sheet, and ongoing tuning/support as set out in your plan.
The exact inclusions, response times and any usage limits are those shown on the plan you select on the website at the time you sign up.
3. Pricing & payment
- Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) on the website and are the final amount payable.
- I am not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. If that changes, prices will be shown VAT-inclusive.
- You don't pay the monthly fee until your front desk is live and you've seen it working.
- Monthly fees are billed in advance each month from go-live. Any one-off build or setup fee is as quoted.
4. Timelines
I aim to have a typical build live within 3–5 working days of receiving the information I need from you. Timelines depend on you supplying your business details, content and any approvals promptly.
5. Your cooling-off right (ECTA)
Because this is sold online, you may have a 7-day cooling-off right under the ECTA to cancel the transaction, where it applies. As this is a service that begins on your instruction, that right applies to the period before work has been performed at your request. If I've already started building at your request, I may retain a fair amount for work genuinely done. I'll always deal with this reasonably.
6. Cancelling the monthly service
You can cancel the ongoing service at any time with [30] days' notice — no lock-in contract. On cancellation I'll hand over your website content and your captured leads, and remove the assistant. You keep what you've paid for; I don't bill you for the next cycle once you've given notice.
7. What I need from you
- Accurate business information (services, prices, area, hours) so the assistant answers correctly.
- That you have the right to use any logo, images or text you give me for your site.
- That you'll use the service lawfully and won't ask it to mislead your customers.
8. The AI assistant — honest expectations
The assistant is trained on your business and tested before launch, but it is software: it can occasionally get something wrong or hand a tricky query to you. It assists your front desk; it doesn't replace your professional judgement. For anything safety-related or high-stakes, it's set to defer to a human — you.
9. Ownership
You own your business content, brand and the leads the assistant captures. The underlying templates, code and assistant configuration I build the service on remain mine, but you're free to take your content and leads with you if we part ways.
10. Liability
I'll do careful, professional work. To the extent the law allows, my liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the prior [3] months. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or other South African law that can't be excluded.
11. Privacy
How I handle personal information is set out in the Privacy & POPIA notice, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes & disputes
If I update these terms, the version on this page applies to new sign-ups; existing clients will be told of material changes. If something goes wrong, contact me first at dekockwayne12@gmail.com — I'd always rather sort it out directly. These terms are governed by South African law.
