If you message us or fill in a form, we use those details only to reply to you and arrange the work you asked about. We don't sell your information, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Who we are
Receptia is run by Wayne de Kock, an independent operator in South Africa who builds and manages websites and booking assistants for service businesses. For any privacy question, contact dekockwayne12@gmail.com or 076 431 1511 (WhatsApp / phone).
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email and the message or enquiry you send.
- Business details if you become a client — your services, prices, area and hours, so the assistant can be trained on your business.
- Basic, non-identifying website information (such as which pages are visited) to keep the site working. We don't use this to identify you.
Why we use it (and the legal basis)
Under POPIA (South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act), we process your information for clear, limited reasons:
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call or quote (because you asked us to).
- To deliver and support the service you've signed up for.
- To send you occasional, relevant updates about your service — which you can opt out of any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We only share it where it's needed to run the service — for example, trusted tools we use to host the site, run the assistant or store leads — and only the minimum needed. We never hand your details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to help you, and client information for as long as we work together (plus any period the law requires). When it's no longer needed, we delete it.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable, secured tools and limit who can see your information to what's necessary to do the work. WhatsApp messages are protected by WhatsApp's own end-to-end encryption.
Your rights under POPIA
You can, at any time:
- Ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Ask us to delete it, or object to us using it.
- Withdraw consent or opt out of updates — just reply "stop" or email us.
